Chinese is the way to go. I have been trying to create themes using the plazmic theme generator but sadly no joy has anyone else had any luck.

i don't speak chinese or spanish, so i will wait until they have it for the 8703e and an approved version. if you use your blackberry for business how can you chance having it turn into an unusable device (kind of like a treo).

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I don't think the 8703 will work with the 8700 os. Although someone might have gotten it to work.
I usually pick the newest OS.

It's english also, Chinese for me, much more stable than the Venezuela version.

Hey Flash24 - can you cite some examples of improved stability? I've noticed some performance lag when using the browser in specific areas, but I just attributed that to bad coverage.

I'm fairly happy with the OS I've got. If I could get Opera to work, life would be grand!

You know how you get errors on the Venezuela version while playing your ringtones in the media player? In the Chinese 4.2 I never get those errors anymore.

Also signal bars is preety steady and seems better compare to Venezuela, when I had Venezuela my signal is always low and it would frequesntly drop.

I will post some more when I remember lol

Negatives on both OS... Opera mini doesn't work, also the Gmail app.

Im not going to say one is better over the other, I just know its better than 4.1. I tried both and it was CPR for my phone.

I agree, the Chinese OS is the way to go. It fixed the errors that were in the venezuela OS. My BB seems faster and tons more stable. I have the gmail app running on mine though, it hasn't given me any problems.

Oh ok.. maybe I'll re-install the gmail app and see if that correct the problem. Thanks

Re: OS SHOOT OUT- VENEZUELA Vs. CHINESE!!!

I updated my 8700c with OS4.2.1.126. Everything is Ok except at the end, it says,

"Warnings were encountered during the loading process:
The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid.
    KnJCDE.cod"

I noticed this file was related to feature "Push To Talk". How can I fix that? The OS file is from Optus, 8700C_PBr4.2.1_rel126_PL2.3.0.67_A4.2.1.85_OPTUS.e xe

    Thanks alot.

Anyone try this one out?? what are the results?

I was just about to update to Chinese version too.
