I just got my 8703e and went to the Verizon store to have my phone numbers transfered over to the new Blackberry. No problem accept that they now reside in my address book and all of my addresses are gone? There doesn't seem to be an icon for phonebook on the Blackberry. If I synch up to my desktop tomorrow, will I overwrite the phone numbers with my address book? Shouldn't there be an address book AND a phonebook?
Hopefully I will learn something here as my IS department gave me the phone with no users manual so I am basically running blind.
    Thanks

You will only have an Address Book - the black book icon.

What 'addresses' are gone? Street address? email address?

Do you receive company email on your phone, meaning are you on a blackberry enterprise server (BES)?

If so, your address book will auto-sync with your Outlook at work.

Is your "address book" your sim card? If so you can transfer all of your sim card entries to your BB address book. The best way to do it though is to enter all of your addresses into Microsoft Oulook and sync it to your BB via the Desktop manager

We use Lotus Notes at work not Outlook.
Looking at my address book in Lotus Notes I do not have that information on my BB any longer, no addresses, no email addresses, no fax numbers etc..? It seems that the phone book has overwritten the address book when they moved all of my numbers from my old phone to my new BB.
I appreciate the help as I am really lost here!
    Thanks
