NE1 got details on the 8700 (g) version?

    Hi all,

Just signed up today (great forum!). So I saw a pic online of the 8700g and I nearly fell off my chair. I love it and would much prefer this to the version (c).

    http://www.greghughes.net/rant/Black...ooksGreat.aspx

However when I call BB (RIM) and speak to someone (also tried emailing) they said (g) doesn't exist and only (c) Cingular and (r) Rogers. Then I was viewing another review of the (C) and it said actual version may be (c) or (g) or something else.

    So....

    1) does the (g) exist and who would this be for?
    2) does anyone know when it's coming out (version g that is)

TIA keep up the great work on the forum

as with all other devices released if you can, I would wait at least 3 months after the first release. Both for best price availability and also for a larger model selection to choose from.

G stands for Global... Most times the first company to get the device gets thiers specially designed looks wise.. then the rest get a global standard one.. The only time that did not happen is with the 71xx series each company got thier own design
