Hi taito, welcome to pinstack.com. While you are in the audio player on your BB you will see three buttons. First is the play button with a right arrow on it, then the stop button with a square on it, then the very right button is the menu button, click the trackwheel while that button is highlighted and you should see save as the very first option.

    Re: menu anomaly ?

as Chris said on the bb sound player you have 3 options the one on the right side of the screen - highlight it and then click on the wheel and you will see save in the options
DO OR DO NOT THERE IS NO TRY

    Re: menu anomaly ?

taito, Welcome to PinStack, as stated above, it is not a menu option to save, You need to roll your track wheel down (Moving the cursor to the right) two Clicks, then press it in. See attached screen shot

    Hope this helps

    Re: menu anomaly ?

What Carrier are you using? I wonder if this is not a limitation established by the carrier. The first item in the list should be "Save".

    Perhaps you are right,

    Orange Fr

it's strange, the first time i download a ringtone, all was good,
the option was present (first item) and i get the mp3.
Since this time, "save" is not present ?

    Re: menu anomaly ?

Have you tried a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 secs., Battery back in). This might help. If you have successfully downloaded and saved once, unless something has changed with your account, you should still have that capability.

    Esperont que ca marche.

    Re: menu anomaly ?

Is it possible that the file can be played on a Blackberry but not saved due to the file type? Therefore the option is not present? taito, does this happen for all ringtones?

    Re: menu anomaly ?

I've made a ringtone and uploaded it to a website, I was able to play the tone, was also to select save but would not save. This may be a slightly different issue but I think it has something to do with the filetype. This was with an mp3 ringtone. I re-did the mp3 in mono 16 bit 44100Hz wav then encoded a 128k bitrate mp3 and then I was able to save. Unfortunately I was in total control of the formatting of the file. You may not be so lucky.
