the green flashing light is telling that you are in a covering network area
the red one is when you receive email, sms or chat via bb msn
the blue one if for bluetooth

From what I know it can't be changed, the only thing I know about the coverage light is how to turn it off

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~well there is yet another option out there that will make things a lot easier and it's name is Robert Pulsin (guy with breast from Fight Club) but serriously there is an app called Blinkberry or BB alerts that let you customise your led for SMS, missed calls, voicemail and other alerts. Cheapest I have seen this one has been for about 10 bucks which to me is worth it instead of having to come out on web surfing only to find out it was a text

If you use that software, you get green, red, purple, blue white and I think one other color to choose from. Each color signifies a specific type of alert.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~does blinkberry have a trial period? Bb alerts didn't really work well. It worked once I first downloaded it and then not again

Yeah, I got the same issues..I only got the green light blinking for coverage area that's it. I have mine set to Vibrate since I'm deaf so if I don't have the BB on me I have no way of know if I got a message.
