Is there a company that I can send my phone to in order to get this done?
    Thanks

EDIT: Does it matter if my current carrier is alltel?

It may help also if you explain what you mean exactly by getting it unlocked.

Usually it refers to getting it unlocked from a carrier so that it can be used on a different carrier.

However, there are also phones that are "locked" to accounts as the verbage goes.

Example, did you purchase a phone and find out that you can't activate it on your Verizon account because the ESN is "locked" to another account? Or are you wanting it to be "unlocked" to work on a different carrier?

If the IMEI is locked to that specific carrier, you need to call that carrier, or have the previous owner call to have that IMEI "released", so you won't be getting there mail. personal info, what not.

There's no way to get it unlocked from a different carrier since its CDMA.

    Good Luck.
