    Lightbulb I just "Downgraded"

I was previously an owner of a 8800, but I decided to come back to my roots with the 8700. I missed the trackwheel, and the simplicity of the former blackberries, and I missed the prestige of owning one. Before Curves, and Pearls, and Bolds when it wasnt the "cool" thing to do to own a blackberry but it was the SMART thing to do! Let me hear your thoughts.

To each there own. Just like all cellphones, not everyone needs the latest
and greatest. Sometime the latest and greatest fail someone horribly!!!
I dont think it matters as long as you kept it all in the family! (BB of course!)

I had the 8703e before upgrading to the curve. It took some getting used to at first but now I love the trackball. It's much easier on my wrist and thumb than the wheel.

I know the feeling, I miss my old 8703e but, I can still play with it as my wife is now an addict and she is using it.

Wow!! I didn't think anyone missed the old track wheel. That's an old school flash-back for real

You know, I am actually considering moving to an 8700. I have never used one of my own, but have fooled around with quite a few of them. How do you feel going back?

I feel great actually.... I feel like I have a Blackberry and not some flashy device, and it does everything I need it to do. No offense to anyone who has any other blackberry, but I just love the classic feel of the blackberry before the glitz and glamour

I'm with you my friend, except I even went back further - to the 7290, which was the model the 8700 series replaced.

I just recently downgraded to my 8703e from my 8130. I finally decided that I did not like the smaller screen and suretype.

I'm upgrading to the Storm (giving up the Curve) Offered the wife the Curve and she said "NO! I like my 7290 just fine" she likes the bigger keyboard and says the construction feels much more solid.

I liked the trackwheel sometimes. It hurt my wrist alot though. The 8700 is a good phone. But i'm pretty excited to get my Curve, I've had the Pearl and 8700g, I liked both of them.
I guess whatever you go with for BB is a win!

Reverting to the trackwheel would be, for me, like going back to trucks with no power steering, two stick shifts and no A/C.

    It ain't gonna happen!
