How do you add extensions to phone numbers?

I notice that any numbers I port over from my Treo that had extensions, when I call them my BB gives me the option of dialing the ext. after the number is called. However, when creating a new contact, I don't see a field that allows me to input an extention to be dialed.

Any suggestions? What am I missing?

Put a x after the phone number followed by the extension. Should work just fine.
