~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~It has to be there. Are you sure you just didn't miss it by chance?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~also it would help us to know who your carrier is.

    Example:

I have T-mobile in the US. On the 8700g. So my settings are wap.voicestream.com

If you can't find your TCP, look for APN. You may have to dig around in advanced options to find it.

The 8707 i see you are in Netherlands 2 years ahead of the US in Mobile technology haha. Welcome to pinstack.

I'm not sure if because the network being more advanced that the TCP may be preset or not even used. Are you running your 8707 on UMTS or GSM mode?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Thanks Hydn, I was really at a loss here on this one. I know nothing about the 8707. Any place I can read up on its specs?

Searched through the entire 8707 4.1 OS user guide on RIM's site and no mention of TCP or APN within:

The 8707 does work as a modem however read this:
    http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgec...39683&vernum=0

As for your current issue I would contact your carrier and let us know your findings. We will start posting more UMTS info on pinstack.

You'll need to wait for the fix. There is no IP stack on this device. Will only work via BES MDS for browser.

Re: How do i set my "APN" settings on a 8707

Thnx for clearing things up for me, read the trads of both links and it is clear to me that with BIS it is not possible (at this time) to use MiMlite or jmIrc or some other program that uses an altered APN gateway. Anyway not for me...

So... am i going to convert my contract to a BES contract or not.... that is the question...

    rob...
