    Question House Swapping Aftermath...

My housing on my 8700g was pretty beat up, so i purchased a new one.. I had no problems actually switching, it was actually very easy..

The only problem is that now, i can make and receive calls, but no one can hear me - i can hear them just fine...

what did i do and how do i fix it???

lightly pry it apart while unscrewing it. thats an old installer trick.
    hope that makes sense

okay yeah... the screw is too far stripped - looks like it's almost completely smooth, which puzzles me because it tightened easily...

    so - suggestions?

You have to be careful. I've had T6 and T7 screws on one of my BB's. I'm not sure what you can do once the head is stripped though...

    Re: House Swapping Aftermath...

Okay, I have a similar but maybe more troublesome problem. I too forgot about the microphone but when I finally did get it inserted back into the case, it no longer works. From what I can tell, there are only two contacts for touching the circuit board. The first is the outer edge that has a ring of metallic fuzz (sort of like a brillo pad) and the second is a spring offset from the center of the microphone. I have attached a picture that shows the microphone. Since it no longer works I am wondering if there was another pin or something that broke. It's not like I wasn't careful, but something happened and now I am in a bind.
