It's a really good browser, for stuff your BB browser can't get... I'd say the best opinion is your own.

i think i installed the high memory version. I LOVE opera mini, text entry method took me a few hours to get used to, but once i got the hang of it...I use it exclusively. Its alot faster than the standard bb browser.

To my understanding you cant make it the primary browser

High quality should do on the 8700 series.

Download it in your computer, unzip, move the .alx and .cod files to a memorable location, and run them through desktop manager...

awd, you can't make it your default browser. Anyway, the standard BB browser is quite adequate for most sites. I keep it on my 8700 as insurance. Occasionally, it will load sites that the BB browser cannot. I find it irritating sometimes because ther is an extra click in there to get to a screen to type on a URL or whatever. I wouldnt get too hung up about using it. Are you on BIS or BES? If the latter, the IT Police will have to give you permission (or not) to load it. if the former, make sure your TCP settings are correct.

Why not just do an OTA install?

I personally can't stand the interface on Opera Mini. IMO it's not worth the hassle as I don't visit any sites that don't render on the BB browser.

Does this just not work on Verizon? I couldn't get it to work on my 7130e and now the 8703e. I run a connection test which = pass but when i try to use the actual browser I get a network connection error

I got it to work on my Verizon 8703e. Kinda mixed review on using it though. As mentioned earlier, entering text in data fields is 'different' to say the least. The browser does allow me to access a banking site that the regular browser (with IE emulation) wouldn't.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I am using mini opera with no issues so far on my 8703e. The browser is snappy, ties in well with the builtin browser and I personally love the menu layout. Once I learned the keyboard layouts everything is a breeze. Give it a shot, if you don't like it then just uninstall.

I just downloaded mini opera (high version and which I'm using to write this) on my verizon 8703e and I like it! I really like the interface on it and you can get to a lot more websites on this browser, then on the BB browser. It does take some time to get used to the text input method and the extra clicks, but after a while, it is really cool.

I downloaded Opera via desktop and loaded it into my Verizon 8703e. It shows up in application list but unable to select it from anywhere. The instructions ask to go to options, Advanced but I am unable to find TCP option. Any suggestions?
