If you can't get the phone to let you delete just that one theme, you're going to have to wipe the phone and reload the OS from scratch. Do you have a recent backup of your BB saved to DM>Backup/Restore?

If you can, go to Options>Security>General Settings. Then click the trackball and select Wipe Handheld. Type "blackberry" and accept it when it says it will wipe the phone.

Then find the newest 8700 OS and reload that.

I just went thru this with my 2nd Pearl. I hope you have a backup because this will erase all applications and contacts.

Go to the Control Panel on your PC>Add/Remove Programs. Look for ANYTHING and everything related to the BlackBerry OS and Desktop Manager. Delete it ALL.

Reinstall the Desktop Manager. Reinstall the Device OS. Pull the battery out of the phone. Connect it to the DM. You will have to select the Detect button. It will go to the list of applications to install (Core Applications and System Software). Once this starts loading on the phone, insert the battery. Let it finish (can take up to 1 hour). When the phone reboots, unplug it from the PC.

I wish this worked for my Pearl that I am having to replace again. I am waiting for #3 to come to me.

If it worked I would still be on my first Pearl, not waiting for the third one.
