    Hello

I have a 8700r with v4.2.1.96 loaded on. I use my BB with a phone plan from Rogers Wireless which I use for calls and SMS.

Is it possible to install GPS on the BB! If so which one. Thank you.

not too sure on the T's and C's about which network your using, but telenav is what most people use over there (im from the Uk). i use Telmap over here but not sure if you can over there!!

youd obvioulsly need a Bluetooth GPS Receiver as well

I have been using an external GPS receiver (blue tooth) along with my BB 8700 via wayfinder software and really happy with it.

You can use an external bluetooth GPS receiver or try using the latest release of Google Maps which will triangulate your position using towers. The latter isn't anywhere accurate at all but will probably find you within 500-2000m.

What kind of bluetooth GPS device are you talking about? I saw that with mgmaps you can tether a usb or bluetooth GPS. Ive got the 8130 through verizon and i thought it had internal gps but it doesnt seem to be activated nor can i activate it.

I have the Holux GPSlim 236. Very quick to find a signal and battery lasts forever on the GPS.
