Oh no Hydn, I'm gonna have the 7290 all by myself?! I'll be joining you in just 3-4 weeks! $400 is a lot of money, gonna see if I can get a deal first.

Ha...I see you are excited enough to change your Avatar to the 8700. But won't the Formula 1 get jealous? Which IS your true love, eh?

    i got my 8700c for 250 after a $50 rebate
i've used the 6230 and the 7230 and played with the 7100's
8700 is by far the best in my opinion
    you are gonna love it
get a screen protector though...brilliant display and it sucks if it gets scratched

Get a case or body skin, screen protectors and egrips for the most protection.

Maybe a leather case, the case scratches real easily. Dropped it 10 times already (I know, I know...) No damage to the screen, just a bunch of scratches on the edges and corners of the case.

I must be lucky. I have dropped mine a bunch, both in the case and out, and no damage that I have noticed.

I love my new case, so I would recommend a flip case to anyone.

I used a Seidio Plastic Holster for my 8700g and it works perfectly. So far no drop (but I am keeping my finger cross). I just got my Best Skin Ever LCD protection but haven't find the time to put it on.

I vote for getting a set of Best Skins Ever. The are very easy to put on and don't cost much so you can pick up to sets..

Then you can get a leather pouch or something. Just stay away from the OEM holster.

Re: Getting the 8700g, it's about time

    Got it! First basic impressions.

I prefer the visual appeal of the 8700g.

However the 8700c is easier to type on. On the 8700g the Q A and alt keys and the p Del and enter keys are sitting on the raised body styling. While the 8700c it's lowers so press those keys seem easier. Also the shap of the 8700g keys are sharp lines with i can feel im gonna suffer from BB thumb quicker than if i were using the smooth to touch 8700c keys. Just my 2 cents.

Other than that it's two no three thumbs up

The Zen theme is HOT stuff. Kudos to Jibi and Seatle18 from BBforums.
