Flashed T-Mobile firmware on Cingular phone, still see Cingular

So I got a AT&T/Cingular 8700 BlackBerry, and I have T-Mobile service. I downloaded the T-Mobile 8700 firmware and desktop manager from t-mobile.com and flashed the 4.2.1.107 firmware onto the BlackBerry (It had AT&T 4.2.1.155 on there before) The BlackBerry seems to work fine, however when it boots up I still get the Cingular splash screen. I then tried using javaloader -usb wipe, and re-flashing the firmware, but same thing. I removed the Vendor.xml file before reflashing the OS both times.

Will the new firmware not overwrite the Cingular splash screen? Or did I miss something.

Thanks... (still waiting on T-Mobile to activate my BlackBerry service)

Your splash screen will never change, not matter what network or OS you are on.
