    Dumb noob question...

Is there an equivalent to a tab key? I'm using the click wheel to go from field to field but tabbing would be preferable.

    Am I missing some shortcut?

    thanks

I really don't think so. There just aren't enough keys on the keyboard.

So you're "clicking" the wheel, or tracking/scrolling the wheel to change fields?

Lewis, I think he means he is using the Trackwheel (Click Wheel) to scroll between fields. At least that's the way I read it. Assumption there on my part, and I know how to spell assume

    You assumed correctly, lol.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. I meant scrolling from field to field. It's not a big deal - it would just be a nice feature.

I'll check out the shortcuts link.

If you scroll the wheel one click then it will go to the next field, if there were a tab key one press of the key would go to the next field as well... right? Dont get me wrong, I am the first person that would admit I like 10 ways of doing the same thing,.

You're right. What bothers me is that I'm filling out the fields and rather than just pressing a tab key with my left thumb to move on, I have to move to the wheel to scroll.

I'm not lazy, I'm just still getting used to the device.

    thanks everyone.

    And I was confused!

I thought that fabb meant he was clicking the wheel to access a menu to select "next". And I thought: "why would fabb click, when 1 scroll-unit would change fields?"

RC, witty retort on the assume thing. I still don't know who Ming is?

    Re: Dumb noob question...

from all the trainings i have been trough there is no such thing as a "tab" key. I know there are a lot of shortcuts to allow you to not use the track wheel stoping "blackberry thumb" these can be found on your device on the welcom messages when you first get the device or on blackberry.com
    Thanks...
