Usually leave it on and just plug it in. This way I can still get phone calls, etc.

You can try and turn it off for a few hours while you sleep and see what that does.... Try what the others have suggested as well... If you still have enough battery to get you thru the day then maybe it isn't really anything to worry about.... If it bugs you then take it back to your service provider and have them swap it out for you....

My battery life sucks. I charge it all night, and its dying by 8pm.

Also, does the "charging" icon go away on 8703e with Verizon when the battery is fully charged? That icon seems to stay on mine no longer how long its charging. Only goes away when unplugged.

On the 8700 it will go away as long as it's at 100% and not drawing current. If I get a phone call, or anything that uses much power, or if the Screen is kept illuminated, It will come back.

    Hope this helps

I've noticed that when I charge my Verizon 8703e with the wall charger, it stops at 95%. Even when I replug the charger into the device and see the lightning bolt reappear, it still will not charge to 100%; however, when I use the USB charger, it will charge up to 100%. Strange I know, but... *shrug*
