I was about to say yes, but I just got a second 8700c and one of the lower screws seems to be a T5 while the others are T6's!

Hah...so it needs to be changed to:

The screw sizes on the devices may vary from a T4-T7, depending on whatever mood we were in and what extra parts we had laying around the factory.

Okay guys, enough levity ~:-) I bought an 8700g on ebay as spares and repairs. Its been abused big style (major external scratches and stuff) but it works. As I paid not a lot for it, I felt kinda relaxed about taking it apart. Cherrichiodo kindly pointed me in the direction of the destructions on the other site, and off I went. Having removed the screws and navigated the clips for the first part, I felt really good. HOWEVER, it seems that the main front and back are bonded together in some way, quite apart from the second lot of torx screws. I have twice reassembled this device, still works ok but there has always been a discernible gap at the top between the two silver keys, however tight the screws are. Anybody want a rough working 02 8700g cheap (like $50 plus S&H)

You got any pics of it?

I am looking for a 2nd housing for the 8700g, but want to make sure its the same setup.

Also, what kind of shape is the screen in? Keypad?

i don't know if you've taken it all apart yet, because I take phones apart myself, and when I took my 7100t apart, I realized that they moulded the speaker not only to the phone but to the case as well. and once i pulled it apart, and tried to put ti back together again my speaker never worked again. i had to se my bluetooth. haha. that was an experiment gone bad. llol
