    Disassembling an 8700

How many of you have done it?

Did mine just come this way, or were the two bottom screws T6 and the screw up by the speaker a T7?

Good thing I didn't strip the top one when I kept trying to use the T6 on it.

I thought all these devices were T6 screws???

    What the?

Is mine the only one that was this way?

    Bump:

If anyone knows why it still won't come off after I take all 3 screws out, lemme know...Getting caught on something and not sure what. I removed the speaker grille and there are no additional screws there.

Hey, you know you're a good "mechanic" when you take something apart, put it back together and it still works, but you have extra parts that you can't remember where they came from.

Heh...well, I ripped the speaker grille off for no reason then. Glad it just slaps right back on there. WOOT.

    Re: Disassembling an 8700

I am taking it apart because I am going to paint it pink for breast cancer awareness.

Then the last week of the month going to paint it orange and black for halloween.

In Novemeber I am going to paint it orange and red and yellow for Thanksgiving and fall.

December going to paint it red and green for christmas.

January going to paint it white to represent the winter time.

Februrary, dark brown for Black History Month.

March going to paint it green to represent spring.

April, going to paint it like an easter egg.

May, going to paint it Blue/White/Grey for the Cubs.

    June, haven't decided yet

    July, red white and blue

August, all red because its always so damn hot then.

    September, lime green, just because

And then start back over again in October.
