    Question Deleting Messages

I am using an 8700 on BES/Domino. When deleting messages from the handheld, I choose the option to delete from Handheld and Desktop but none are ever deleted from my Desktop.
Has anyone else gotten this to work?

    Thanks,
    Cathy

    Re: Deleting Messages

Thanks, Vipz for such a thorough answer. Unfortunately, I have tried that and still can not get the messages to disappear from my Desktop client when they are deleted from the handheld. They are deleted from the handheld almost immediately when deleted from the Desktop client. I can even watch them disappear from the handheld.
I was wondering if there is some setting on the BES that must be turned on before two way reconciliation can occur.

    Re: Deleting Messages

I contacted BlackBerry support today and they helped me solve my problem. The ACL of my Lotus mailfile was set improperly. The group LocalDomain servers (which would include the BES) could not delete documents. Very quick fix and one that I should have thought of myself!!
