Can the LCD be off when in holster?

So I've set my BB to lock but when I slip it into the holster the LCD turns on and stays on. It's pretty draining on the battery. Is there anyway to turn off the LCS when the BB is locked and in the holster? I tried putting it on standby....at least I thought it was standby (hitting the power button twice) but as soon as I slip it into the holster the LCD turns on. Any suggestions anyone?

under profiles, you can change the 'in holster' profile to 'turn off led'

Sorry, I'm pretty new at this. So I go to profiles and I see Loud/Vibrate/Quiet/Normal/Phone Only/Off. I go to the active one (which I have on Normal) and hit edit then I see Brower/Calendar/Level 1 Messages/Messages/Phone/SMS/Tasks. I go to each one and the only setting I see re the LCD is for Repeat Notification: LED Flashing. Is that what you are talking about?

The LCD should turn off if you're holstering your BB. Make sure you have your BB facing the proper direction (depending on the holster).

With the RIM plastic holster it needs to face in -- not out. The sleeper magnet is on the in side. If you look on the side with the clip that circular cutout with the silver metal behind it is the sleeper magnet that tells your BB that it is holstered.

Your LCD is probably turning on because the keys will be depressed if you holster with it faced out. They'll also get horribly scratched over time.
