    Calendar Sync

Is there another way to sync a calendar to the desktop (or web based service) that allows event/meeting invitations? Or that can share a calendar between two blackberries? Right now I'm using BES and outlook, but I'd prefer to get off the hosted BES or have something that automatically places the entry on two BBs.

    Thanks!

    Re: Calendar Sync

From what I know, removing the host BES/Exchange environment is going to make it more difficult to accomplish this. For one thing, meetings are more of an Exchange feature than an Outlook feature -- though, admittedly, I've never really messed with meeting requests on a standalone Outlook install.

You can sync two Blackberries to a common calendar if you don't use wireless sync but once again, both installs of Outlook need access to the common calendar and that's best accomplished with an Exchange environment.

I really just want the two BBs to sync automatically and wirelessly to eachother without anything else. This seems like it is asking to much. What about using a shared google calendar?

There is a way to wirelessly sync two BlackBerrys using a free Google calendar as an intermediary. Check Google.

    Re: Calendar Sync

If you are by chance using mac, the web service .mac ("dot-mac") allows syncing of multiple desktops and the new Pocketmac for BB 4.0 will sync your bb flawlessly--even two-way syncing. It is schweet. And I receive invitations from suits on corporate Outlook, that I can respond to and automatically go into my iCal (and can then be sync'd with .mac, then bb, etc.).
