    Hi Bob,

    Welcome to Pinstack

Let me see if I can help you out here. First, for your CPU, you said the DM doesn't recognize the BB, Open the DM, go to OPTIONS - CONNECTION SETTINGS - > where it says "Connection" make sure the drop down menu says USB, now plug in your BB and then click the button on the right in the panel that says DETECT.

Secondly, for your laptop, and synching with outlook, are you using Outlook EXPRESS or Microsoft Outlook OFFICE? Did you set up your synch configuration settings?

Let us know so we can continue to help you on these issues

The version of the DM shouldn't matter. If you have a previous version of the DM you can delete the new version off your computer and install the older one and see if that works, but I don't see that being the issue. I'll pass this one on to some of the others in the leaders group, see what we can come up with for you.
