I have been using the cingular 4.1.0.377 Platform 2.0.0.152 for a little while now on my 8700g with Tmo, just wanted to see what OS is everyone else using and any pros and cons with their OS

.377 has been very stable, very good on battery life and the volume is excelent. all the icon notifications are there and over all it's pretty good I must say

Just looked at my 8700c and I am running .194. Where can I find .377?

    Thanks

I'm still on .309, it seems to do all its supposed to do. I have though about moving up to Cingular's newest OS, but I've got mine so sweet now I don't want to change it.

    Re: Best OS for 8700?

I am using a jacked up OS on my device. However, when I was back playing with OS upgrades, I found that Telstra was the most stable I had come across.

Plus it gives you the ability to turn data off (internet/email/etc) but keep your wireless on (phone/sms/etc).

I loaded .377 today. Everything looks OK other than the weather portion of Pocket Day. Gives me a Java error. Will try to fix it when I have time.
