It should be in the 71xx format in order for me to buy it. I played with it for a while and it is no doubt the fastest BB around.
I actually bought it, got it unlocked and then played with it for a week. But after getting used to the 71xx format I don't want to give that up. I will wait till they come up with something like the 71xx. Have heard rumours about a new BB with an MP3 player now that will be sweet.
Till then I am a happy camper with my 7105t.

By the way sold the 8700c to a colleague. He is happy and I did not lose anything. ;-)

They have all been great but edge gives the edge to the 8700 and the screen is awesome.....

Since I got my 8700r I can't stand 72xx anymore. And 7100 is a joke. No qwerty, no edge, low screen res. 8700 is the only way to go ( for GSM anyway)

    Re: Best Blackberry Ever?

I'm still new to the whole BB scene, but in a matter of 2 months I have gone from an i860 Nextel to the 7100i BB to a Cingular 8700c. And I'm totally in love with my 8700c. I get so much more work done now with the speed and more viewable screen. 2 thumbs up!!!

I love my 8700. It is so much faster than the 7100 and I am loving the full keyboard again

    Re: Best Blackberry Ever?

I realize my 8700 is probably the best BB yet but I have never had the awe factor as when I first got one of the old B&W with the Ant no phone than (Nextel I think were the only ones to have them??? not sure as than I didn't know what a BB was?) Sending and receiving email from anywhere was beyond anything!!!!!! They have come along way but the wow was really a wow than where now I expect it.....

Just keeps getting better. My BB unlimited data plan is only 19.50! Pretty cool huh? I thought it was going to be something like 36 something. But checked my Service Report and it is showing the price at 19.50. Thank you Cingular!!!

    Re: Best Blackberry Ever?

Well here is my 2 cents....I agree that the 8700 pack a punch; but I would rather have my 7105t, it just seem like a more sturdier phone/PDA, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking...The 8700 seem like one good fall and it will crack open like an egg...I want to wait and see what RIM will come up with next.....but here is my review..I might have left out things...but this was from walking into one of the TMO shops and giving it a test drive...LOL

    Pros:
    Size
    Screen
    Call Quality
    Ease of Use
Automatic Screen and Keyboard Light adjustment
    Push Email
    Internet Access(edge)
    Easy Sync with Computer
    Stable OS

    Cons:
No expandable memory- (this is a big one)
Lack of customization- ( I hate the fact that there are extra icons on the screen that you cant hide or get rid of.
The key pad is not great. It's cramped and the keys are very stiff.
The ear piece has a very small sweet spot and becomes muddled at the highest volume.
    MP3 ring-tones... another feature that no-shows
I feel like for the price of this PDA/Phone, it shouldn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic. It's strange that it functions so well but feels like a piece of crap, it looks cheap and feel cheap the material they used is no good.
