    hello everyone
I am new here and i DON'T have a BB YET!!!!
last time i tried the 8700g in a t-mobile store...
and it looks like a handy device for me
but i have a few question
can u guys give me a hand?

    1. can i read chinese and japanese email / website on 8700g?

    2. can i surf the internet .... instead of the WAP?
    ( e.g. xanga, youtube, photobucket... )

    3. how big a different it is between the 7290 and the 8700?

Thanks a lot for your help

    and
they have an offer on amazon

if i choose the 1000 minutes plans from t-mobile (59.99 USD)
I'll get the 8700g for free
well.....can i change it to a "getmore" plan (39.99 USD)
and pay 19.99 for the unlimited email and internet for BB
    after a month or two?

    Thanks again

    1) Yes, you can read those characters on the website
    2) Yes and No. Screen size is limited and some sites might not show up correctly with generic browser, unless you use opera.
    3) Hard to say. Price wise 8700g is higher but they got the fastest processor among the rest of the BBs

Overall, I have my 8700g for more than 2 months and it is very stable compare to other smartphones like treos. So far only give me 2 reboots for unknown reason but other than that it has not hang on me. Built wise, don't let the "plastic" finish fool you. I have drop my phone from 3 feet and roll down a stair case (together with my plastic holster). Not a crack and no visible scratches too. If it was a Treo, it would have cracked already.

Re: A few Question before purchase 8700g

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ tjunkie is right. But I should also tell you, that the sites like you tube, the video side will not work with any Blackberry. Blackberry at this time does not support video on any of its models.

Now with that said, the 8700g is an awesome little device. I have one that I upgraded from a 7290 from. And it is FAR superior to the 7290 in so many ways.
Let's start with the screen. The screen on the 8700 compared to the 7290, is like comparing black and white TV to High def color.

The speed of edge will knock your socks off.

It has dedicated send and end keys for the phone side. A plus in my book.

It has 2 convienence keys that you can change to your preference.

    Auto dim screen.

    Plays small mp3 clips.

Has MMS capabilities, both sending and receiving.

And I could go on and on. The point is,if you get the 8700g. You will see a huge difference in the 2 Blackberrys.

Hope this helps you out some.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Typically when you sign up for the rate plans where you get the free phone (Amazon, etc) you have to make all plans changes through them. If you drop down in plan, either through them or TMO, they will bill your credit card for the entire retail of the phone, which I think is $399 or $499.
Also, the cost of BB data pack where the voice is barred is $29.99 for BIS, or $39.99 if you use your companies BES.
Hope this helps! And I love my 8700g!!!!!!

    hi melissa--

    free phone dealio:
i also got my 8700g for free, but not through the source i found the deal on. i printed out a deal from letstalk.com, where you got a free 8700g with a 1 yr getmore contract. i took this printout to a tmo store and asked if they would match the deal... they did, but i think you also have to do some scouting around first to see what reps might help you. they did make me sign a 2 yr contract to match the deal, but i love tmo's service, and hey, the bb was free. and i go through tmo for all of my changes. i'm thinking of upgrading to email in a few months.

and also... amazon has been sot of terrible in my exp...
