8787c: how to reconcile a "moved to folder" message?

    Hi,

I have a 8707c connected with my company's Outlook email. Reconcile works OK when I delete emails in Outlook, but if I move an email from Inbox to a folder, then it does not disappear from BB (I guess because move is not delete).

Is there a way to have a moved item in Outlook being deleted from BB?

    Thanks a lot
    Stefano

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

If you move it from the Outlook inbox to another folder, and it's still in the message list on your BB, then deleting it on the BB won't affect the message in Outlook.

Also, make sure that your Wireless Reconcile options are set so that "On Conflict : Mailbox wins".

I'm guessing that right now it's set to "handheld wins", and therefore the moved messages are not being 'moved' out of your BlackBerry Message list.

Try that out, and post back either way.

    stevels70, welcome to PinStack.

If you are moving the email to an offline folder the blackberry will not know what to do with it. It is the same if you do a Perminant Delete (Shift+Delete) or empty your deleted email folder before the reconcile takes place.

The work around for this is instead of moving it, copy it to the folder then delete from the inbox.

    Hi,

indeed, I move it to an offline folder... thanks for the trick, I'll use it for sure (maybe I can create some sort of rule for Outlook, like copy and delete messages...)

    Thanks,
    Stefano

If you use Drag and Drop, just CTRL Drag to the offline folder and then use the delete button.
