I am real close to making a decision on an 8703e as my main phone and bb. Is this a good choice?

the 8703 is a great bb, i have mine with sprint. i am not sure about verizon, but the sprint one offers free thethering as part of the unlimited bb plan and that is great if you use your notebook alot

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Verizon charges an extra $15 a month for tethering. Other than that it's still a great phone. I'm upgrading to it next month myself.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I was working on a friend's 8703 yesterday and the handling is simply awesome, and the speed is by far the best of any i've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and get one.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i just upgraded to an 8703 as my main phone about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I had a 7250 on another line but put the 8703 on my main line. It maybe nicer to have the 8800 but who knows how long we might have to wait for one

ditto.... I upgraded about 2 weeks ago, and love it. I came from a palm (no phone), and a LG 4400 phone. I really like having it all in one. I think the Blackberry on Verizon is great. You can't go wrong in my opinion.

...as long as you don't want to use the built-in GPS.

Thanks for all the comments, the only thing that will stop me is if the 8800 were to come available soon

    Takeshi,

This is true. I think I would love the GPS capabilities with BB maps, and google maps. Maybe one day.....

Somewhat happy and sad. No GPS, MMS is not supported, inconsistency with caller I.D. when receiving calls from phone numbers that are already stored within the phone. Coverage and speed are phone high-points of phone. Software could be a lot better.

I have a 8700 with verizon and love it. I also have a black moto q which I think is also a good phone what the moto q lacks in speed and battery life it gains in being a phone with mms and a camera with a lot of programs.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~my first post here. I've had the 8703e from verizon for a little over a month and it's great. Not a power user by far but I find it's really nice to get email delivered because I'm lazy. Also used bb411 all the time when I'm out. I do wish we had gps on the verizon version though. That's about the only thing I'd change otherwise no complaints from me.

I have the 8703e with Verizon and it's my first bb. I really like it.
The only drawback I found is if you travel across time zones, you have to manually update the displayed time. The network time automatically updates, but the time you see on the screen is the time you select in options - date/time settings.
Other than that - no problems
