    8703e battery question

I haven't been able to get the battery to last a whole day for like 2 weeks now. So, my 2 questions are:
    1) Is an extended battery the answer?
    2) Can you use a different battery from like an 8800 or other device that lasts longer?

    Thanks

Extended may be the way to go... Not sure if the 8800 fits the 8700

How much do you use your phone? Also what model do you have?

    180kid,

I dont know what your data and phone usage is like, but without much data usage (standard email delivery), and no phone usage, my 8703e lasts nearly 3 days. With moderate usage of data and moderate of phone (approx 2-3 hours per day) I can get nearly 2 days charge out of it. You may want to request a new battery, as yours may be defective

I'm french canadian so I can also help you in french, just PM me
UNLESS it is for a BETA OS, it's at your own risk and I won't support it

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Extended battery is the way to go. Battery life tends to change after having a device a while. My first Pearl, out of the box, lasted only one day because of my extreme messaging and data usage. I ordered the extended batteries as soon as I could.

I must agree. I bought the Seidio extended battery and it will last me at least 3 days now. It's a smart investment.

I have also noticed that if I run an IM program in the background all of the time, the battery life will be reduced significantly. On mine with no IM program running I can get approx. 2 days usage on the battery but with the IM program running in the background I am lucky to make it through the day.

    Re: 8703e battery question

Realistically, if you use your BB much during the day......you're only going to get a full day's worth out of the battery.....maybe half of the second day. The best thing to do is just charge it at night by your night stand or use the USB cord during the day if you're at your desk. This way you're always ready to go.
