More than likely yes, the 7250 was upgradeable to EVDO where the first release was not enabled. After the first of the year we will find out, but I know the next Sprint BB will be REV A.

Right, that what I did that with 7250. Looks like that 7250 used MSM6500 chipset so it was upgradable to Rev 0 only.

However, I could not find anywhere about the chipset for 8703e. We need find out if 8703e uses MSM6800 chipset -- if so, will it be safe for us to say that 8703e is upgradable to Rev A?

My findings are saying it uses the 6500, and you are right that is not REV A capable. Ive looked at all the spec sheets I can find, cant find anything stating 6800. Will keep my eyes open though.

Yep, it's confirmed that it is not Rev A capable. I found this specific chipset information on Sprint website here: http://powervision.sprint.com/mobile...erry8703e.html

So we know for sure. Oh well. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see next BlackBerry to come out with Rev A capable chipset.
