    Hi

Pretty new 8700c user here and having trouble with two areas right now that I need help on.

    1. I have a Jabra BT3500 bluetooth headset and I cannot get my 8700 to enable it - I thought they were compatible - what am I missing?

    2. I need to sync up my PC based Outlook Calendar with my 8700 and while I have the Desktop Manager - I do not know how to export the calendar appts to the Blackberry using the Desktop Manager.

    Thanks for any guidance!

You can go into "intellisync" in Desktop Manager and the click "Configure PIM".

That is where you can tell DM to sync your BB Calendar with your Outlook Calendar.

What is the bluetooth doing when you try to pair the headset? Give us some more info.

kunalakajim - what is BIS? What is gcal? Sorry for ignorance.

MrX - I'll give that a try thanks!

Atomicmoose - I turn my Jabra on - and then on my BB I go Options>Bluetooth>Add Device > It searches and cannot find it. Not sure what else to do.

Make sure you put your headset in discovery mode before you tell the BB to search. Your directions should tell you how to do it. If you don't, the headset isn't telling the BB its available to connect to.

BIS is BlackBerry Internet Service...this allows you to access up to 10 email accounts on your BlackBerry.

GCal is Google Calendar...it allows you to synchronize your Google Calendar with your BlackBerry.

If you already have Desktop Manager installed you should only have to connect the USB cable to kick off Intellisync. What problems are you having exactly?

Your headset has to be in pairing mode. Refer to its instructions.

    Re: 8700c User needs help

    Hi

Okay I've now got the headset working! Needed to figure out which buttons to push to get it into pairing mode!

I'll have to work on the Outlook syncing at home (currently at office) as thats where my cable is. I know that Intellisync starts but not sure what to do after that part to download my Outlook calendar into the BB.

Thanks for all the help so far!
