Question 8700 supplied holster & T-Mobile Napa case...

Even though I put my 8700g into the holster the correct way, I've been scared of it falling out. Am a big guy, and at times, on my hip, I feel as it I could either knock it out by accident, or something silly...

Has ANYONE knocked their 8700 from the supplied holster? I've now bought the T-Mobile Napa Leather veritcal pouch (although I wanted the horizontal one, could not be found anywhere), just to be safer...

I did not keep mine in the Tmo holster that came with it long. I got myself a Krusell case with the flip cover so my BB can stay in the case and still be used.

I have dropped her a few times, both in and out of the case. She survived perfectly fine.

I still want the Piel Frama case. I should just break down and get it.

I like the T-Mobile horizontal case. I use the Holster that it came with though and keep it in my bag. I saw that the BB came out of my holster while it was in my bag.

Is there one with a swivel clip, and a "smart" case?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ the one I have (T-Mobile) has a swivel clip. But what is a "smart" case?

If it's any comfort to you, I've used my old 7230 for 2 years and it never fell out of the case, not even while dancing in 'da club'(*). I trust this isn't going to happen for my 8700 either as I did not get the insurance..

A friend I know used to stick some 'first aid' tape to the back of the holster to 'tape it down' during certain activities (apparently that tape does not dry out as much as other stuff and is dust resistent)

    TT

(*) this could indicate I'm either a slow dancer or a good dancer, you be the judge ;-)

The T-Mobile vertical case will hold it very securely.

Well, if you noticed both say VERTICAL, despite one clearly being horizontal. I've been to many T-Mobile shops, and could never find the horizontal one. So, I just bought the vertical one, and it was still $19.99. I was too scared to order it online through T-Mobile, mainly because both say 'vertical', and I tried to call them, but could not get anyone that could confirm that the $19.99 one was in fact a horizontal one...

I got a TMO swivel clip case for about $20 and have been very happy with it. Magnetic close, secure, padded and yet thin enough to feel the vibration when mail comes in. They had it right at the store and goes at whatever way I want it to. Also has the sleeper function so better battery life.
