Another thought - I think I remember that the volume for the handset and the volume for the speakerphone are separate on the 87s, so check the volume level when the speakerphone is activated to make sure it's not all the way off

| If the device rings, then the speaker is fine. If the dollar sign works in a document, then the key is ok. You have updated software without it changing the problem. The only thing left is making sure the volume is up during a call . . .
