I used to have it N8... and I think that is where it was... just doesn't show up on the home screen or locked screen on this OS... same thing with Navilyn.....
It does show up at the top of the screen on the default browser....

Ok, now to look for 8707, another upgrade! Painfull or what?

Melissa, I hope you know this is all your fault! I was sitting here, reading messages, and look at me now, pulling my hair out, reloading OS's. The things we 'geeks' do...

I wonder what might be the actual difference between the 8707 OSs and
    the 8700 OSs.

I've played around with the .316 and the .334 of the 8707 and now the .346 of the 8700. Still trying to come up with the real points differentiating the two series - other than the UMTS and EDGE.

Going by numbers the .346 (release .456) is the highest I've seen on any 8700 OS series while the .334 (release .433) is the highest on the 8707.

Would N8 be able to shed some light on this?

graphreak has a point the 8700 os is a higher number than the 8707 os...

Another anomaly I noticed is that the 8700 OS platform always stays
at the 2.0.0.xxx series even when one installs the 8707 OS which
runs on the 3.0.0.xx platform currently.

Depends on what's not working !!!

If its something I can live without then I'd probably stick with the
    higher version!
