That could be the problem, two! The previous one, and now this new one I just installed. I presumed (yes, I know making an *** of me) that the software would uninstall the previous one...

Ok, let me start from scratch...

melissaox,- you must have already tried the Battery pull right?
And the "Host Routing Table" network registeration too?

Melissa - after your install, did you do a restore? I wonder if that had anything to do with it?

Rebooting many times, even with a couple of battery pulls.... I don't think the problem is with the BB... gonna try something else...

When upgrading to the new OS, the "Automatic Backup and Restore"
feature that shows up just before the actual process begins
    is really useful.
I've been doing it this way for the past few upgrades and all my
    applications/settings/email notifications/OTA installs have been
    restored back very well.

    Melissa,
Have you checked under your Profiles - through the 'Advanced' Option?
The Notifications may have become disabled under your 'Active' Profile.
You may have to go through the 'Edit' feature to check the 'Notification' type
under each 'service' (should I say) such as (a) Messages (b) Messenger - Alert
    (c) Messenger - New Message (d) MMS (e) SMS (f) Phone etc.etc.

    That may help I hope.

That is only for the sounds. I get the sound, just not the icons.

I checked there tho myself, just in case they changed something with the os... no dice.

I noticed that the 'home option' that you get with Zen is now gone, albeit you can still use the organize feature...
