    8700 email attachments

Hello everyone... I am writing as I find myself frustrated at times with the way my 8700 handles email attachments. I have pretty much figured out that if I am sending emails containing attachments to my Blackberry I have to send the email as plain text from my desktop computer. Otherwise, the email comes through without the attachment. Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong?

Secondly, I have a hard time forwarding emails that have hit my Blackberry with attachments. The recipient of of the forwarded email gets the email minus the attachment. Is there a better way to manage this process or is it just inherently limited.

    Thanks.

    Re: 8700 email attachments

HI, I have similar problem. I can send emails with attachment to my BB 8700g, and I can open this attachments on my handheld, but when I forward this emails with attachment to any recipients, they see an email with icon which is the only evidence of sent attachment, but it is only the icon, there isn't any file.

I have BES 4.1, handheld 8700g, what I set wrong on BES??
    I appreciate the answers.

I have a problem if I have a message for too long on my BB and I forward it, if there is an attachment it will not appear to the recipient.

    Is this the same scenario?

    Re: 8700 email attachments

Ironcially, I was just dealing with this last week. The workaround I am using (which is probably not going to be acceptable to a lot of people) is accessing those emails with attachments I need to forward via a web client and using their interface.

I use www.mail2web.com, there are a million others. Of course this assumes you are using a POP3 account.\

If I misunderstood anything in the original post, apologies in advance. There is a four-year old climbing all over me like a monkey.

    Hi,
I checked it once again, and I have problem only with forwarding encrypted emails. Attachments are removed from such emails. In forwarded email I see only icon not linked to files.

There is no problem with forwarding no encrypted emails with attachment. I can open this attachments.
