Re: 8700 4.2 Upgrade- WAS IT WORTH IT??

Another comment for 8707g on 4.2 is that it's not able to allow access to my Bluetooth Headset. I'm able to connect, even press the call button fr my headset to send a signal to my handheld to call out, but i'm not able to listen to any audio.
Not even when i manually click on "activate My Headset" during the call menu.

Anyone that faced this problem, successfully got it to work ?
    Need help here..

To add on to my fustration, at the Cell Broadcast option, when selected.. i get the error "You will be unable to set channel or language due to SIM problems" but when revert back to 4.1 it was perfectly well.
Anyone else having the same problem ??

Most issues highlighted tend to look carrier agnostic I.e the alx's the networks have written. I have compared a generic release code with both Vodafone and AT&T. Massive differences through the 4.2 code.

Is it better rewriting code yourself ???? I would say so, especially with 4.1 allowing you to do a task, load 4.2 and it disappears.

    I miss the cingular theme!

when putting my own wallpaper on the new ATT theme...there is still a huge part of the clouds from the ATT theme above my designated wallpaper, UGH!

How can I get my cingular theme back!?

    Not sure....

My 'MiniRingtone' ringtones no-longer work. It took me ages thinking of appropriate tunes and now they don't work!

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this?

    Cheers

seems like i lost signal strength. it was well worth the upgrade. i fell like i have a new device. bluetooth file transfer works now. the media manager upgrade is good. and i now have the ability to send pics and ringtones thru email instead of mms and not be charged for an mms msg.

Re: 8700 4.2 Upgrade- WAS IT WORTH IT??

Well I just upgraded to 4.2

The first, and VERY first thing I notice is how my ringtone's volume is like 80% lower than it used to be
Even on HIGH, it sounds like its LOW on the 4.1

    That along really sucks...
I'll see if anything else that bugs me, or please me
