ALT/U works on mine to toggle whether a message is read or unread. I wonder if the choice of theme affects it. I'm using "BB Dimension Icon"

I think it's GREAT! I love the Media Manager and the Blue Tooth Transfer. It lags a little sometimes but I can tolerate that for the improvements.

it's pretty deceint . I had it crash on me when i changed themes.. Had to do a complete reinstall... That stunk.... But it is pretty nice and smooth other than that one glitch...

ME TOO!! It's frustrating! Even now that my volume is set at HIGH, I can hardly hear it. Unlike with the 4.1, even at medium, I can hear my alerts very well. Please help! I love the 4.2, but some of the basics are compromised. Need a solution quick.

I have definitely noticed this as well. Volume on ringtones is just low. Put this on the "We need a software patch for: " List.

The volume is exactly the reason I reverted back to 4.1xx...I work in a reasonably loud environment and the volume on the 4.2 os just doesn't cut it right now.

I have an 8703e from Verizon. Is this update available to me and if so, where do I get it? I went to the BB official site and couldn't find anything.

Don't recall it being out for 8703 yet, just 8700.

Actually I just went to the Verizon site and it looks like it's available. However, after reading through this thread I'm a little gunshy about downloading.
