Well i feel a little relieved that its not only my BB that is slow. . . I will still keep the OS installed for a while longer to see how things work out.

Does anyone know where I can find the old 4.1 firmware? Im debating on returning to the older one due to the lag in response for the new firmware.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)I'm having issues with the phone actually working right since I've installed 4.2. Has any one else had any phone calling and receiving problems? I keep getting an error "app error 503" then I need to reset the phone. I may end up going back to 4.1

I totally agree. I love the Zen theme and to have the "setup wizard" in the list permantly doesn't make me happy. I also tried to go to the blackberry help site on the BB and it
said my device wasn't supported which I thought was because it wasn't an offical T-MO OS.

Overall I think it's a good os and it does feel like there are a lot of improvements.

Definitely. I used the new version as soon as I bought my phone... then I reverted because I mistakenly blamed a few issues on the new OS (when it was settings/software in reality -- BB messenger), and when I reverted to 4.1, I immediately seen and noticed the difference. 4.1 makes the 8700 seem like a dinosaur in comparison. It's just so much more fresh and user-friendly!

Re: 8700 4.2 Upgrade- WAS IT WORTH IT??

Yes, well worth the upgrade. Feel the sluggishness, themes are questionable, but heck the Vodafone one looks darn snazzy, and a couple of overall issues. I could be wrong but battery consumption seems to be much higher. Or maybe, I'm just fiddling with it too much. And with the media player? Anybody figure out what's with the ringtones? Midi files kill it.
