    Blocking app in the background

So I was at the waiting room of the doctors office today so I had time to play with the phone. Anyway got to looking thru help stuff and found a problem. This is on a Nokia 1020 running windows 8. Any way it said to block and an app from running in the background go to settings and then to apps, and from there you can check the ones you don't want to running in the background. Well my trouble is under settings the is no apps listed to click on next. Now this is the nokia help stuff I'm looking thru so you would think it was about their phones so i don't know if this is a windows problem or nokia one. Would be nice to get anything that needed the GPS to not run so it won't run down the battery

I use a app called Greenify, which allows you to choose anything you opened and put it to sleep when not in use. It seems to be helping my battery life along with some kernal adjustments. I will be doing a take on this app soon.

Thanks I will have to check it out. Still wonder why the help stuff has the info to do this with the windows OS but it's not there. Wonder if it's another one of those things AT&T locks out on us. Don't know why they would be then why does AT&T do most of the things they do.

I often wonder but know why they do things like that. Sure does make it frustrating on the customers, but with contracts in play they really have us don't they.
