Considering the Pre is not available yet and 3.0 is also not available yet, we will have to wait till both are available to see how everyone feels after using the two.
The Pre does look very appealing. No question Touch is the future.

What is a bb?

I'll say although I am an IPhone user the Pre would kick the IPhones behind if it wasn't for 3.0 saving its butt when it releases. I went through a Pre training and its pretty sweet.

3.0's release was pretty good timing. If it wasn't being released I'm sure AT&T would be hurting when all those contract renewals come up next month and so on. The Multi tasking feature is important for people. Closing one App to open another is not the way to go.
I wonder if the Pre had anything to do with it? Competition is good

This phone is for real! I've seen 50-100 "iphone killers" I think that expression is going to have to be "pre killer" from here on out..... We'll see if the limited quantities they're releasing will help or hurt the hype.

Soooo... the Pre has been out for a minute... I don't think it has lived up to the hype.

I had one for a week.....software was awesome, the hardware sucked. Sprint sucked even worse. Then I went for the iPhone...no multitasking, that lasted a week. Now I am back to BB for good!

Wait what?? sprint sucked even worse?? plz explain? If you are on vzw, then you prolly get the same coverage as sprint.
Its just getting old with the sprint bashing with no logic to back it up.

yup and the iPhone has multitasking support out of the box. Plus, even more so if jailbroken. Still the Pre isn't that bad.

But now there are sooo many great Androids and even the N900 to consider. The Bold 9700 is also a solid upgrade. Not to sure about the Storm 2.

Hey, I apologize if this topic isn't appropriate for this forum. Hopefully this post doesn't count as an advertising post!

I'm a phD student exploring the social uses of smart phone technology. I'm doing qualitative interviews right now, asking smart phone users about how they use their phones and if the new internet capabilities are changing the way they socialize and communicate. I am always looking for more people to talk to because I hope this research will help me build towards my dissertation. If you're interested in doing a phone interview (or an f2f interview if you live in Raleigh), just reply to this post or email me. Mobiledia won't let me post my email, so hopefully there is some way you can get in contact with me. The interview should take around half an hour, and it should be fun. Plus, you'd be doing me a huge favor and I would really appreciate it!
