    1. no native widgets, but jailbreak is a must
    2. gmail works great on the i4
    3. youmail app in the app store
    4. Im sure there is, I just havent looked for it. Jailbreaking triples the apps and customization.

A untethered greenpoison jailbreak was released Thursday, but only downloadable with Mac users, Windows should be in the next few days. I havent JB my new one because its iOS 4.2.1 and was not jailbreakable till this new release. I did JB my last one, took 5 minutes, simple.

Yes widgets with JB. I wouldn't think that a JB on a Verizon iPhone would be any different.

I'd say keep your wannabe iPhone for a few more months puss and see what the new iPhone will bring once June comes. Who knows Google's Hemroid might come out with a new OS by then and call it snowcone / strawberry cream/ crap covered with sugar powder/ corn flakes/ frosted flakes or whatever silly tittle they give their new OS. You don't want this almost 1yr old iPhone in your hands because that's what Verizon customers are getting. I can't wait to see what June may bring. OS wise I don't expect much but probably hardware. I'm still waiting for that app that will create a virtual hand to wipe my butt. Now, that's app!!! until then I'll stick with my prehistoric iPhone 4.
What's the matter? CIA's got you pushing too many pencils?

well i've never had a fruit phone before mainly because verizon has never offered one. again,i love android but if i'm going to try fruit i would just as soon get the 4 now to get my feet wet and see how much i like it then i'm sure i would jump to the 5 when it's offered.

    ....and howdy rat man!

I guess someone let the cat outta the bag for a change . Welcome back bro. Definitely though bro, give it a try and see if you like it. Trust me, if you want the fullest experience from your future iPhone, I'd recommend you jailbreak it first and for the love of Peter Jackson and that weird guy from queer eye for the straight guy DO NOT UPGRADE if you know there's no jailbreak for the OS you're upgrading to. And, don't lie you did have a fruit phone; it was a Berry.

You said it bro, Verizon customers had no choice but to settle with what Verizon offered them and Google took advantage of that and created their Android OS and people settled for it. Time to enjoy the real deal but definitely wait bro or IDK if Verizon will allow you to test drive it for 30 days like my carrier (AT&T) does. Yes, you can jailbreak it and restore back to out of the box status after jailbreaking it. Besides, it is not illegal to jailbreak your device, except for a PS3 I heard lol.
