before ya all lynch me....I have tried to talk him out of it!!!! but he is hell bent on getting the iPhone, so my question to the masses is....i want to help him make a educated purchase from the ATT store, so besides the phone, what data plans does he need to buy to make all the bells and whistles work on the iPhone? he is already on our family plan for the phone calls and unlimited texting, so more abut the data?

Don't worry mikadad, no lynching here. If he is a teenage/college student, he fits the iPhone's demographic profile.

yeah he does make his own money thats why I am not fighting him on buying it...otherwise that would be a whole other story

but what data plan? not the same as we have for the BB's, we have 2 Curves in the house now...mine and my wifes...

I think the iphone has it's own data plan. I'm not sure if it includes text msg'g though, I would definitely ask about that.

Looking at the at&t site, it looks like all their plans (for the I-phone)have unlimited data included. I would suggest checking in the at&t forum.
