Snowbreeze? Will this help us jailbreak the new 3.1.3 shyte?

I came across this site when searching for ways to help us jailbreak fools find a way around apple's attempt to make us upgrade our shenanigans to their new craptastic upgrade. Quote below and link to the site... I haven't attempted to do this yet so please don't go out there and start pointing fingers when your devices become a brick or it stalls on you, Do It At Your Own Risk!!!!

Sn0wbreeze 3.1.3 has been released which can jailbreak iPhone 2G, 3G and iPhone 3GS on the latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware. One thing which is to be noted here is that it will work with iPhone 3GS only if it has the older bootrom (non-MC model). iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded to the stock 3.1.3 are still out of luck.

The 3.1.3 update does not offer any substantial improvements so I'm still thinking if it's not broke don't fix it.

I tell people not to update b/c there is no reason to other than to just say it's updated.

But to your Q, I'm not sure till I can get near a large screen and research more.

I'm not upgrading yet either. Not until they release 4.0

Before you attemept to try it out, Id sugest downloading PkgBackup!! You can find it in Cydia, then Back up your Packages, sync to iTunes. Then give it a whirl.
But like someone just said if its not broke, why fix it?

I will wait for Georges version to come out, his is more trustworthy and reliable, not to mention very easy to JB.

I tried it on two 2G iPhones and ended up going back to 3.1.2 and using blackra1n/bootnueter to unlock them. Not sure if I did something wrong but it didn't appear so.

yes it will allow you to create a custom IPSW so that you can upgrade to 3.1.3, although if you have the newest bootloader 3GS your SOL and this isnt for you.

I had links for custom IPSW's for all models except newest 3GS and ipt3 but cant seem to find them anymore.

all 3.1.3 does is fix the exploit for blackra1n and fixes a keyboard crash on a japanese keyboard.

Definately wouldn't update just hold out for 4.0 and the next jailbreak, nothing to write home about with this one.

Anyone figure out how to downgrade 3Gs's back to 3.1.2? Primarily I need this for those clients who bring me password locked iPhone's that they want jailbroken and unlocked as well. I know if I do a standard restore I will bypass the password but will be stuck with an unlockable unit afterwards. Now that Apple signs the OS on 3Gs's, I can no longer install 3.1.2 successfully. Stuck at an impass for now.....

Ditto, there were a million warnings about 3.1.3 and for the life of me I'm still not sure why folks were jumping on it.

calm_tiger unfortunately there are the likes of myself out there who tend to switch off every now and again and go into dumbass mode hence the unfortunate accidental upgrade to 3.1.3

It's gotta be hard being perfect
