    iPhone Won't Boot Up

    Okay, as the title suggests.

My iPhone won't boot up..can someone help?

I just finished Jailbreaking it, I was doing the essential upgrades in Cydia, once the download was complete, Cydia asked me to 'reboot device', so I did. When it began booting up (Apple logo pops up), everything seemed okay, until the screen went black, now ANYTIME I hit the power button to boot it up, it does the same thing....Apple logo appears, after about 8-10 seconds it goes black again.

What do you suggest? Restore from backup?

    Thanks in advance!

Just use itunes to "Restore" and try it all again.

    This time don't re-boot.

Restoring now! I'll keep you posted..thanks again Gary

EDIT: Restore went fine, iTunes is syncing my apps now! Should I attempt the Jailbreak again?
What do you suggest? If so, how do I bypass the 'restart device' after updating Cydia apps?

    Thanks!!!!

    Glad you are back up!

I would suggest you try again. I have done this many times without issue, and each time I had a problem it was of my own making....and now you know how easy it is to restore if you do have a problem!

EDIT - PS....when you edit instead of adding a new post it is difficult to see that you have updated the thread

    Thanks for the tip

How do I get around 'rebooting device' upon updating Cydia?

Also, what are the first things you downloaded once your Cydia was up and running?

Is my firmware file correct? just making sure: iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw (it's 297mb in size)

Sorry for all the ?'s, it just sucked sitting around waiting for my iPhone to go through that HUGE restoring process...I felt crippled LOL

Wow! I'm an idiot, I totally forgot I installed Winterboard, that's what was causing my 'constant reboot'..I did some research and a lot of people had the same problem. Not sure why, but it sucks now because one of the main reasons I wanted to Jailbreak was to customize it Now I can't?? Wack!!!

Hmmm im not sure, seems to be a common error...I might have to wait for another solution that doesn't require me installing WinterBoard through Cydia, maybe manual install via SSH, but I'm not trusting Cydia ATM. I appreciate it though!! I update Ispazio repo and then installed Winterboard and got the crash, so it more than likely happen again
