iOS Lock Screen VS Android 5.0 Lock Screen

Okay; So I've been using ios 7 beta since it was released a month ago. Thus far the only feature I like about it is the ability to launch four specific app, and turn ON/OFF a few settings from the lock screen. Since iOS 7 the Iphone had no such ability, but android jellybean did.

Now one thing I like about this feature on iOS7, is that I don't have to unlock the device to use these apps; but you can't change the four apps nor settings.

So which lock screen you prefer?

Even though I haven't seen what Key lime pie 5.0 lock screen can do; I prefer Android because it gives you a lot more options, and widgets.

Yeah, its a pity that you can't change your action screen to your liking. Or to add stuff. Otherwise the simplicity of this screen is more useful than the Droid one.

    I of course prefer androids.
I have the ability to choose 8 apps for the lock ring, several for the lock screen ribbon. Right now I only have an emergency contact app.

Oh, and unlimited widgets.....nice sometimes as well

I used Jelly Lock on iOS6. It was cool and somewhat useful, not as good as the iOS7 one IMO. Control Center is great and the only thing that I don't use on it is the timer. Other than that it's exactly what I need. Quick access to music,my calculator, the flashlight and camera.

Widgets are something I've never cared for. I like what Apple has done with the NC in 7. Widgets are one place or another. With NC, your info is everywhere. Much cleaner and productive design.

I don't have Android 4.3, so I don't know how versatile the lock screen widgets are when it comes to have a password/pattern lock. My buddy has the HTC One, and he should be gettin 4.3 with sense 5 pretty soon. Looking forward to check it out.

That's the downside to stock ui.
AOSP updates and adds new features that you have to dig out apks for if you have to be stock.

Its a plus as well. I mean one of the perks of Android is that if you are stuck you can usually get new features as an app. Just have to go looking for them.

I tried to return to stock this morning...didn't work out so well.

I don't use it. I want my llockscreen to be just a lock screen. Its habit to simply swipe and tap what I need. I keep my home screen setup with just the apps I use daily so no need for shortcuts.

Just thought the app was relevant and could be useful.

Been thinking about giving the android a try in a phone platform and this sure makes it look interesting. The one thing that scares me about them is they are not simple because you can do so many things with them but this is also what could make it something I could like.

Take a dive my friend. The only hard thing about Android is learning everything. I've had this note 2 for almost a year and I only know 3 thirds of what it can do. But its fun learning, and you have the Pinstack community to help you out.
