    Apple Airport Networks

Looking for input from any of you Apple users who have set up Airport WiFi networks. I bought the Airport Express which works great in my office with my iPhone, now I am considering getting the Extreme Base Station and using it with the Express unit to expand the Apple network over the entire house.

One area I want to explore - I have read that the Express will repeat and amplify a signal wirelessly (is that a word?) - can any one confirm this and comment?

Yes I have that setup currently. It will extend your Network where
normally your signal would be weak or unreachable.

Unless your running Macs the TC probably
won't help you much but if you are using a
Mac I would chose a TC. Money well spent
when it comes to backing up and TM.

I don't recall without looking at the specs again
keep in mind you only want it to cover the home
not the neighborhood. I did notice my range
has been much less than my Linksys ever was
I actually think that is a good thing because
people can set down the street and use my
Network or better yet work on accessing
my Network. With the Airport Express you will also get the duel band
Network option. One secured and one open to the public
    if you choose.
