    Arrow $500?...smh

I know this is a BB site, but we'd be lying if we said we didnt pay attention to the competition. Anyway AT&T has released the pricing plans for the new iPhone 3G, and as good as the $199 & $299 price tags looked initially, Steve 'Money Hungry' Jobs forgot to mention that anybody not eligible for an upgrade has to pay $399 or $499 .... not to mention the insanely high increase for the monthly plans. Anyway I wanted to know what u guys felt about that and wether or not it just solidifies why you'll stick with your BlackBerry.

Well I would expect prices like that for new customers and those eligible for upgrade. Most PDA phones that comes out now are usually anywhere between 150 and 200 less for new customers so its expected. I don't expect the Bold to be cheap for existing customer not eligible for upgrade when it comes out. I guess the only thing I don't like is that they are trying to make it really seem cheaper than the 1st phone whichs its not. But that's what marketing is for LOL.

I was actually looking at an article on yahoo and it says the non-contract price for the new iphone is 400 bucks MORE than the contract price. So this makes the price for someone not eligible for upgrade 599 and 699! User who have had their iphone before may 29th will have to pay alot to get a new one. And since the new phone's price is so low there's not a big incentive for someone to pay more than 200 bucks for an old one. This sucks for them! LOL

Not only is SMS not included, the base plan costs $5 more than a regular PDA plan! *sigh*

you don't have to change plans, if you are already an AT&T customer you can just add iPhone data for $30 dollars a month, and then $20 dollars for unlimited messaging or $15 for 1500 messages.

Yeah, the previous iPhone data plan was actually cheap compared with other AT&T data plans. The new price brings it in line with the rest of AT&T's plans -- you would pay exactly the same for a Blackberry plan with equivalent minutes and features.

I don't see what the big hubub is about withe the pricing contracts. I have the equivalent with Verizon for my Curve w/ unlimited EVERYTHING at $149.99/month, $10 more isnt a bank breaker at this rate.

Wow my entire Family plan with T-Mobile has better features and cost about what AT&T's 1400 min Family plan cost.

I think its more because they have roll over though.

Either way I'm still not going to switch though I get offers from AT&T all thr time.

    Long live T-Mobile & RIM
