Droid 2 Global - Any must have apps?

My company has switched over to the Droid 2 Global.

Are there any must have apps I should look into?

I know I will need something to save battery life....

    What else?

Must have always depends on what the owner must do.

Anyway. BeWeather, Elixer 2, droidiris, Android Pro Widgets (great calendar/agenda), Flashlight App , Evernote or Extensive Notes, News 360 or Pulse, Smrtguard basic (plus if you want backups), dropbox/sugarsync. These are a few I keep and use.

    Thanks jfcooley-

I am a field service technician working on atm's traveling all over Texas.

I have drop box on my iPhone so that's one I will be getting for sure. Don't really need news app for it. Mainly using it to keep notes, gps nav, looking for the best battery saver/app killer app. I have evernote on iPhone but rarely use it. Thanks for the advice.

What sucks is that they sent me the phone Friday but I can't use it until Monday..... I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Loikvfor juice referee in the market. I don't use battery savers, but I've seen a few recommend that one.

This is what I have found so far...

Advanced Task Killer go into settings and change the 'Auto Level Kill' to "Aggressive" or "Crazy" then 'Auto Kill Frequency' to "When Screen Off" and that has saved tons of battery for me.

More than likely you won't see a official upgrade. If you do look for it late next year. There may however be a port that will get you ICS. Do a little digging. Xda-developers.com is the place to look. If they have a port or are working on it, it'll be there.
