Actually, I'd say it's a very good chance that it's the browser itself. The browser is simply not rendering tables / font sizes in a smart manner.

That's not to say they are incorrect, but between the zoom setting and the font size, they simply aren't readable for a good many users.

Opera Mini isn't really a fair comparison, it renders pages completely differently then RIM's browser.

Something else I've noticed is that at (seemingly) random times, certain sections of the pinstack forum pages will not be displayed. On occasion after I submit a post the page will refresh and the area with the "My Posts" link will not appear. Other times I will not see the "tree" listed of the forum that I'm viewing...up above thw posting area where it lists each subforum leading to the one you're posting in.

I don't know if this is for some reason normal but it bugs me much more then the small font sizes.

The Bold's "Column View"

Just a little FYI, it may have been brought up before, but here goes. When surfing the web if you switch to "Column View" you will find out that you get a much better experience with at least 99% less "Zoom in/out". Now I guess I can say I Luv my Bold a Little more, that zoom in out thing really pissed me off, not any more!

Trouble is, column isn't default, as in 4.5, and as far as I know, has to be set every time browser's opened.

This is my biggest complaint with the Bold. You are either zooming in and out, or scrolling all over the screen in column view.

I am hoping an update someday addresses this.... I would rather not have to search all over the place for a link... ;-)

I have my bold running .190 with "Column View" set to default...and it does, I swear. I personally love column view, I'd rather scroll farther down the page to read what I wanna read then be zooming in/out more often and panning left and right.

Personal opinion I guess, but I swear my browser defaults to column each time.

+1

I agree. I turned off javascript and column view and browsing is much much better. And the odd time a page is off i just hit "j" to re-render the page with javascript enabled.

Much faster!

Good to know I'm not nuts. Lol

I have javascript enabled and it still works though, any benefit to leaving it off until needed?

Thanks, just went into Options and chose "Column View" as my default!

Well now that I checked out all the forums and see this is a major problem. O am switching back to a curve. I upgraded because the thing to make the track ball pop back up is jammed in down position. So I switched to the bold and am not happy. I am using a magnifying glass and the ability not to increase the size is PITA. Also I type in the reply box and it does not move done it is one straight line unless I hit the enter button this sucks

I will admit that the fact that text doesn't wrap around the inside of the reply boxes is a little annoying, but considering the nature of what's going on with the browser, I'm pretty sure it's stuff that could be fixed.
